Huron County, Bruce County and Bruce Power Embracing Innovative Technology to Fight COVID-19

Huron County, Bruce County and Bruce Power have all stepped up to purchase a Clean Flow Health Care Mini. The machines will be used to sanitize personal protective equipment used by front-line health care workers in our fight against COVID-19.

COVID-19 in Huron County remains a high level concern as does the risk of community spread.

Huron Perth Public Health COVID-19 testing data has recently been distributed and identified by confirmed cases in Huron County lower tier municipalities. It is asked that members of the public keep in mind that these numbers are low because they reflect the minimal amounts of testing that have been able to take place at a local level. These numbers represent the confirmed positive cases, not the unreported or untested cases.

County of Huron Public Works Department Maintains Essential Services

Work and maintenance operated by County of Huron Public Works continues throughout the COVID-19 pandemic response period. The County’s Public Works department is deemed an essential service as per Ontario’s mandated list of essential workplaces.

County of Huron Develops Community Care Team for Home Assessments & Care

County of Huron Emergency Services has proactively established a Community Care Team Plan. If the need for this service develops, this plan would redeploy select Paramedics for the care of COVID-19 patients in their homes.

The County of Huron urges all residents and cottagers to avoid any non-essential travel. If you are a snowbird, or otherwise returning from travel abroad, the Government of Canada mandates that you self-isolate or self-quarantine for 14 days.
