How much does it cost?
The MOHLTC sets the accommodation co-payment rates for Long Term Care homes across the province. Rates change at a minimum, annually.
What are the rooms like?
Long term residents at the homes have their choice of large private rooms or spacious semi-private rooms, shared with one other resident. All rooms have two piece ensuite bathrooms. Large windows overlook scenic, well-manicured grounds, and the beautiful countryside of Huron County.

Seniors’ apartments are one or two bedroom self-contained units for people 65 years and over.

What furniture is there and what furniture can I bring?
The rooms are furnished with a bed and mattress, a bedside table, an arm chair and a double closet with shelves. We do encourage residents to bring their own personal furniture, pictures, television, telephone, radio or CD player, lamp, etc. to give their room a “home-like” atmosphere. Upholstery with a wipeable surface is recommended. We ask that you check with the nurse in charge prior to bringing in any electrical devices; all electrical devices must be CSA approved.
What are the visiting hours?
As part of our focus on quality of life for long term care residents, we encourage family and friends to visit as often as possible, except during posted outbreaks. Most people visit between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
Can family and/or friends join residents for a meal?
Absolutely! If family and/or friends would like to join a resident for a meal, as a courtesy to our cook, we request at least 1 hour in advance notice of the meal. Guest meal prices are listed below and include taxes where applicable. (Please note that prices are subject to change.)
