Volunteer Opportunities

Meet new and interesting friends, and be a vital part of our long-term care homes. Volunteers at our homes number nearly 150! Their time, enthusiasm and expertise contribute to an outstanding experience for residents.

Both of our homes have active Volunteer Auxiliaries. Members include family, friends and community members. They are instrumental in fundraising, assisting with resident programs and promoting the Homes within the community. Each group meets monthly:
visiting
  •  Huronlea Auxiliary meets the third Monday each month at 10 AM
  • Huronview Auxiliary meets the fourth Monday each month at 10 AM

Volunteers play an invaluable role in enriching the lives of our residents. As members of the care team, you will assist residents in a variety of ways – assisting in daily activities, providing entertainment programs, and helping with fundraisers.

By becoming a volunteer, you not only help our residents but also their families, our staff, and yourself. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and are all ages.

New volunteers are always welcome! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, or completing your 40 hours of community service for your Ontario High School Diploma please fill out our online form or call Debra Corrie at Huronview at 519.482.3451 ext. 5249 or Huronlea at 519.887.9267 ext. 5352.

Please note that police checks are required by all volunteers.
