Huron County Businesses Asked to Complete COVID-19 Impact Survey

March 31, 2020

[Huron County, Ontario] – Huron County Economic Development is asking the business community to fill out a COVID-19 impact survey, providing high-level responses to 10 key questions. Survey data will be used to better understand the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the local community and will provide insight on how best to support businesses and advocate on their behalf across all levels of government.

“The impact of COVID-19 is unprecedented. As we all do our part to slow the spread of the pandemic, we want our local businesses to know that we are here for support and are working on identifying opportunities to assist,” said Warden Jim Ginn. “As we begin to move forward, hearing feedback from our business community is vital in our planning for recovery.”

The Huron County survey follows the format presented by other counties across the Western Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (WOWC) and will be analyzed locally, but also from a regional perspective.

“It’s important to collect consistent information across the region,” says Ginn, who is also the WOWC Chairman. “It will help us further understand the needs of our rural and small urban business communities.”

The 6-minute Huron County COVID-19 Impact Survey can be found by visiting www.huroncounty.ca/economic-development or Huron County Economic Development on Facebook.

Huron County continues to urge all residents to practice physical distancing and proper hygiene protocols outlined by the Provincial Medical Officer of Health.
