Huron County, ON – It’s not too late for Huron County smokers who are ready to quit to get free nicotine-replacement therapy.
A STOP (Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients) workshop is being offered this Thursday at 6:30pm in Clinton at the Huron County Health Unit.
The STOP (Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients) Program workshop offers eligible participants five weeks of free nicotine-replacement therapy and information to help them in their quit attempt.
“The first workshop was a great success and we have openings for our workshop this week. I really encourage anyone who is ready to butt out to call me to talk about Thursday’s workshop, free nicotine-replacement therapy and other supports to quit smoking,” says Public Health Nurse Julie Verch.
STOP Workshops are put on in collaboration with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and funded through the Smoke Free Ontario Strategy.
Call the health unit at 519-482-3416 ext. 2005 to register.
