Project Notice: County Road 15 – Major Culvert Replacement
Contract: HC 23-504
This project is for the replacement of Major Culvert 15-22.1 on County Road 15 (Kinburn Line), 1.3km South of County Road 17. The existing culvert that conveys Riley Municipal Drain will be replaced with a 3.3m diameter CSP polymer coated culvert, including headwalls and updated guiderail system over the structure.
Construction for the culvert replacement was awarded to VanDriel Excavating Inc., they are expecting to mobilize to site on May 21, 2024 to start construction.
During construction County Road 15 will be fully closed to through traffic between Winthrop Road (County Road 17) and Summerhill Road. Access to properties within the closure zone will be maintained, but no traffic will be able to pass over the culvert location. The road closure is expected to start on May 21, 2024 with an estimated completion date of June 21, 2024.
The signed detour route will utilize County Road 15 (Kinburn Line), Hydro Line Road, County Road 4 (London Road), and County Road 15 (Londesboro Road). To keep up to date on project information please visit Huron County Connects (connectedcountyofhuron.ca)
