Warden Paul Gowing has called a Special Session of Huron County Council, to be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 immediately following the Committee of the Whole Day 2 meeting.
The purpose of this Special Session is for Council to consider the following matters:
- Consider a motion to approve the following documents to ensure compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA):
- 2016 Annual Accessibility Plan
- 2015 Accomplishments – Update of 5 Year Accessibility Plan
- 2016 Goals and Objectives
- Compliance Report

- Consider a motion to approve the updated 2015 Huron County “Universal Design and Accessibility Guideline for Site Plan Control” and to circulate it to Huron County Municipalities for adoption by by-law (Presented at the Huron County Accessibility Advisory Committee on November 23, 2015)
- Consider a motion to approve the deferral of 2015 capital projects into the 2016 budget (Presented at COTW Day 2 on December 16, 2016)
- Consider a by-law authorizing the borrowing of money to meet current expenditures of the Council of the County of Huron
- Consider a by-law to establish User Fees and Service Charges provided by the County of Huron (Presented at COTW Day 1 on December 9, 2015)
