County of Huron CAO appointed to Association of Municipalities Ontario (AMO) Board of Directors

Huron County, Ontario – County of Huron CAO, Meighan Wark, has been appointed to the County Caucus of the Association of Municipalities Ontario (AMO) Board of Directors.  Wark will hold the position for the remainder of the 2022-2024 term.  As a member of the board, Wark will help set policy for the association and serve as a key municipal leader in the province.

“AMO Board members play a key role in advancing good public policy for the benefit of Municipal governments in every part of Ontario,” said AMO President Colin Best.  “The AMO Board is delighted to welcome Meighan Wark as a member of the AMO County Caucus.”

AMO supports strong and effective municipal government in Ontario and promotes the value of municipal government as a vital and essential component of Ontario and Canada’s political system.

“Through AMO, the County of Huron engages with other municipalities in Ontario to work together, address common challenges, and advocate for our communities,” said CAO Meighan Wark. “This collaborative approach is tremendously valuable for all of Ontario. I’m honoured to join the County Caucus of the AMO Board of Directors.”

During the 2022-2024 term, AMO will be focusing on matters related to housing and homelessness, municipal infrastructure, broadband expansion, and sectoral leadership across the scope of municipal policy matters, among many other initiatives.
