Huron County, Ontario – The Huron County Art Show returns this fall to the Huron County Museum and local artists are invited to submit works that portray the artist’s vision of the County.
This judged competition collects local art for the Huron County Art Bank. Submissions will be accepted at the Museum, 110 North Street, Goderich, until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022. Please visit www.huroncountymuseum.ca/huron-county-art-show or phone the Museum at 519-524-2686 for full information and regulations. All submitted work will be on public display at the Museum from October 16 to December 17, 2022.
First and second place winning entries will receive a purchase award of $1,000 and $800 respectively. Winning entries become the property of the Corporation of the County of Huron and join the Art Bank to furnish the public areas of County buildings with the talent of Huron’s local artists.
“The Huron County Museum looks forward to two additional artworks joining the collection as a result of this year’s competition,” said Senior Curator Elizabeth French-Gibson. “Previous shows have collected 50 works of art for the Art Bank, preserving the legacy of Huron County artists for future generations.”
