Huron to Hollywood: The Simpsons Movie & The Exchange with Tim Long

April 27 @ 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm

The Huron to Hollywood film series celebrates professionals from Huron County working in the film and television industry! Each Huron to Hollywood night includes a screening of their films, followed by a conversation with the creatives about their work and careers! If you love film, have ever wondered how movies are made behind the scenes, or are curious about the careers that exist in film and media, join us at the Museum this spring!

On April 27, we will be screening two films in the theatre, followed by Q & A with writer Tim Long starting around 4:30 p.m. This event is included with regular museum admission (FREE for Museum Members or with your Huron County Library Card). Attendees are not required to attend both screenings to attend the Q&A, but seating in the theatre is available on a first-come, first-serve basis within a limited capacity. Films are not appropriate for younger audiences (see ratings info below). Doors open at 1pm. There will be a 15 minute break between the films. Seating is not assigned.

About the films:

1:15 pm: The Simpsons Movie (rated PG13) was the first big-screen adventure for North America’s most famous animated family and their fictional small town of Springfield.

3 pm: The Exchange (rated 14A)  is a 2021 comedy about the misadventures of awkward 1980s teenager Tim, who doesn’t quite get the cultural experience he expected when he welcomes a French exchange student to his small Canadian hometown (a town that reveres a white squirrel mascot).
