Prequalification submissions are requested from General Contractors
indicating their interest in bidding and qualifications for executing exterior
window and door replacement at apartments located in Bayfield, Blyth,
Clinton, Exeter and Zurich, Ontario.
Description of Project:
Work includes replacement of existing windows with fibreglass windows and
steel clad doors.
Anticipated project schedule:
– Tender Opening: 30-Mar-2026
– Tender Closing: 07-Apr-2026
– Anticipated Award: May-2026
– Substantial Completion: 02-Nov-2026
General Contractor Prequalification Submission Requirements:
– Submit completed CCDC11-2019 Contractor’s Qualification Statement.
Provide current phone numbers and email addresses for references.
CCDC11-2019 forms and copyright seals can be obtained from local
construction associations. References must indicate that the Contractor
is well established locally and include work performed (at least five
separate projects) similar to this project; similar work is defined as
window and door replacement in multi-residential buildings.
– Submit letter from Contractor’s Bonding Company declaring the
Contractor can provide a Bid Bond, and Performance and Labour and
Materials Payment Bonds.
– Submit letter from Contractor’s Insurance Company verifying
Commercial General Liability Limits of not less than $5.0M per
occurrence.
– Submit C.V. of the Site Supervisor to be assigned to this project.
Emailed submissions must be received at the Architect’s office on March 25, 2026
by 10:00:00 am. Faxed submissions will not be accepted. Submissions that
do not contain the specifics above will not be accepted.
The Owner reserves the right to contact references other than those listed
in the submitted CCDC11. Applications will be ranked, based on the
responses from references. Only five (5) approved Contractors will be
prequalified and allowed to bid the project. The Owner’s decision will be
final.
This prequalification process does not constitute any obligation on the part
of the Owner to enter into a contract with any proponents, or that the project
will proceed.
