Construction Support for Small Businesses
The County of Huron continues to provide a variety of resources and support to small businesses impacted by important infrastructure development in Huron. Each year, County staff and contractors perform maintenance work on our highways and bridges to keep them in good condition, and we understand the impact that temporary construction or road closures may have on businesses and the community.
Regardless of what stage the project is in, the County of Huron works to support the business community. From business advisory to online resources for digital e-commerce adoption, explore all the resources available to you.
What is the impact on physical access to my business for my customers?
Will there be signs to tell my customers that we're open?
Project Information signs will be installed on all projects. If applicable, the County will install signs indicating that businesses are open during construction.
If construction involves a detour or lane reductions, various wayfinding signage will be installed to assist traffic flow and pedestrian travel and where feasible, to direct to alternative/overflow parking for the area.
When will the construction around my business end?
