Huron Multicultural Festival returns to Courthouse Park, Goderich, June 25
The Huron Multicultural Festival will be held on the Square, in Goderich, Sunday June 25 from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to enjoy this free outdoor family-friendly festival that celebrates the customs and traditions of Canada’s diverse populations.
Huron County Library receives prestigious award for Digitized Newspaper project
The Huron County Library is honoured to receive the Ontario Library Association’s (OLA) Archival and Preservation Achievement Award for the Huron County Digitized Newspaper project. Virtually presented to library staff at the OLA Super Conference on February 2, 2022, the award recognizes significant achievements in the field of preservation and/or conservation for library and/or archival materials.
Curbside service now available at all Huron County Library branches
Huron County Library is pleased to announce that as of August 15, 2020 curbside service is available at all 12 branches located throughout the County, including Alice Munro in Wingham, Bayfield, Blyth, Brussels, Clinton, Exeter, Goderich, Hensall, Howick, Kirkton, Seaforth, and Zurich. Beth Rumble named as the New County of Huron Director of Cultural Services
Goderich, ON – The County of Huron, along with the Huron County Library Board is pleased to announce Beth Rumble as the new Director of Cultural Services. Beth has been working at the County of Huron for over 6 years and has most recently been the Branch Services Librarian. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Western University.
Celebrating the Best of Huron County’s Arts & Culture
The ninth annual Huron County Cultural Awards were given out on Friday, April 27 at the Blyth Memorial Community Hall. This year’s Cultural Award recipients were chosen from a pool of fifteen outstanding nominees, nominated by members of the public, for their contribution they made to the arts, culture, and heritage sector of Huron County in 2017.
