Huron County, Ontario – The County of Huron’s Economic Development department is seeking input from residents, business owners, and community stakeholders as it develops a new Economic Development Strategic Plan. The plan will provide a clear, results-oriented framework for the next five years and a 10-year vision for the County’s economic future.
“The input of our residents and local businesses is essential to the success of this plan,” said Vicki Lass, Director of Economic Development. “We want to develop a plan the entire county can get behind that ensures the strategic direction we take reflects the needs and aspirations of communities across Huron County.”
The County of Huron’s Economic Development department has engaged McSweeney and Associates, a team of expert researchers, data analysts, and facilitators, to lead the strategic planning process. Working closely with Economic Development staff, the consultants will gather input from stakeholders across Huron County to ensure the plan reflects local priorities, opportunities, and challenges.As part of the key stakeholder consultation process, McSweeney and Associates will lead meetings and focus groups with participants hailing from across the County’s nine partner municipalities during the first few weeks of October. These sessions will provide valuable input from community leaders, business representatives, and local partners.
Public Participation – Online Survey:
Residents and business owners are invited to share their ideas and priorities through the County of Huron’s online survey. To ensure responses remain confidential and impartial, the survey is being hosted and managed by McSweeney and Associates. This input will help guide the development of strategies that support local economic growth, business opportunities, and community prosperity.
