Programs and Financial Supports
Explore training, mentorship and financial support programs designed to help aspiring and existing business owners start, grow or buy a business in Huron County. Resources are also available to support business transition and succession planning.
The Starter Company Plus Program provides training, mentoring, and grant opportunities up to $5,000 for eligible entrepreneurs (18+) to start, expand or buy a small business in Huron County.
The Summer Company Program provides training, mentoring and grants up to $3,000 to Ontario students, between the ages of 15 and 29, who wish to start a full-time business over the summer.
Succession Ontario is an online hub that provides centralized free resources and tools for selling and buying a small business in Ontario, with a focus on preparing businesses for smooth ownership transition.

The County of Huron’s Economic Development Dashboard collects social and economic indicators from a wide variety of sources and presents them in one central location. This information represents everything from unemployment rates, infrastructure assets, labour force, key sector information, and much more.
Huron County Job Board

Ontario Small Business Advisory Centre programs and services are delivered locally by the Huron Business Centre and are funded in partnership with the Government of Ontario and the County of Huron.
