The Corporation of the County of Huron’s Cultural Services department is seeking a part-time Van Driver!
Position Summary
Shifts will be Thursdays and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with one unpaid hour for lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks.
Responsible for delivering materials to the library branches and other County sites.

Role and Responsibilities
– Delivers library materials to branch libraries.
– Delivers items and packages for other county departments to county sites such as court house, huronview, and other sites as required.
– Fuels van, reports any van or delivery issues to systems librarian, including mechanical or maintenance needs.
– Keeps van interior / exterior clean, keeps library admin garage tidy.
– May perform minor repairs and installations at branch libraries as assigned.
– Occasional additional day required to move larger equipment or furniture with van.
– Occasional back up coverage for other van driver.
– Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications and Education
– Secondary school graduation.
– Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to operate a cargo van.
Preferred skills:
– Physically fit and able to lift boxes of books, and occasionally move furniture.
– Basic computer competency.
– Excellent attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Competitive Compensation
– $27.69 to $32.38 per hour, as per 2026 non-union pay grid
