Join Brenda MacIntyre, also known by her Indigenous name Medicine Song Woman in this online workshop where she will share her songs and stories in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Participants will:

  • Learn and sing 3 special hand drum songs.
  • Learn simple ReconciliACTIONS you can take to be good Indigenous allies.
  • Experience Indigenous ways of knowing and being to connect you with the Earth.
  • Sing a water song for the well-being of our waters.
  • No music experience needed. Drums are optional and welcome.

Brenda MacIntyre

Brenda MacIntyre, also known by her Indigenous name Medicine Song Woman, has Cree and Ojibwe ancestry with Red River roots through her father. Adopted at birth in Calgary and never told she was Indigenous, she is on a journey of reconnecting with her Indigenous family and learning her languages and culture. Based in London Ontario, Brenda is a disabled Indigenous singer, keynote speaker and personal mentor helping women to find their voice and manage grief, trauma and chronic pain.
