Huron County, Ontario – The Huron County Library is pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 Huron County Youth Forum, a series of fun, community-building events designed specifically for young people from across the County.
Building on the work the Huron County Library has been doing through the Libraries Transforming Communities project, these community conversations are geared towards youth ages 15-21 who are looking for opportunities to connect, learn, and engage with their peers on activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and leadership. Whether you are an individual looking to make a difference in your community or a young representative of a local program, organization or club, all are welcome to join the conversation!
Kicking off Wednesday, March 26, 7 p.m., the first session will be held virtually to start the conversation about issues local youth are seeing in their communities, ideas and trends that are important to them, and opportunities for collaboration and community-building.
“We are thrilled to not only provide a safe space for youth to share ideas and experiences but to also inspire them to be active in their communities,” said Jim Seale, Huron County Library Programming and Community Engagement Coordinator. Seale added that the library hopes one of the outcomes of these conversations is to build communication channels for the next generation of civic leaders in Huron County.
