Huron County, Ontario – The County of Huron is pleased to recognize National Volunteer Week, taking place April 20 to 26, 2025. This annual event honours the vital contributions of volunteers and the positive impact they have in communities across the country.
From welcoming newcomers and supporting local food and housing programs to organizing events and celebrating arts and culture, volunteers in Huron County enrich the lives of residents in many ways. Their time, energy and commitment help create strong, connected and vibrant communities.
“Volunteers are the heart of our communities,” said Huron County Warden Jamie Heffer. “On behalf of County Council and staff, thank you to everyone who gives their time to support others and strengthen Huron County.”
Residents are encouraged to take time this week to recognize and thank the volunteers in their lives. Whether they give a few hours or dedicate themselves to long-term causes, every volunteer makes a difference.
