Huron Multicultural Festival

The Huron Multicultural Festival returns to Courthouse Park in Goderich on Sunday, June 25, from 12-7 p.m. All are welcome to enjoy this free outdoor festival that celebrates the customs and traditions of Canada’s diverse populations. The festival includes a stage show of music and dance from around the world, a global food court and marketplace, children’s activities, and licensed beer garden.

Dumai Dunai
Montreal-based Dumai Dunai has an eclectic sound. Formed in 2021, they bring the deep grooves of dub and the energy of punk rock to ancient Slavic singing styles and the euphoric fury of Balkan wedding brass bands. This band is on a mission, and the mission is to make you dance.

eKhaya
The songs of eKhaya World Band have graced many stages and festivals over the past decade. The eKhaya sound is a merging of Afro Jazz, Afro-beat, rhythm and blues, rock, reggae! It is both old and new.

The Light of East Ensemble
The Light of East Ensemble has an extensive body of work rooted in the many lands of the Near and Middle East. The timeless rhythms and beautiful melodies of the East are nothing less than mesmerizing, and when coloured with tints of Classical, Jazz, Celtic, and Folk, they give The Light of East Ensemble a unique, worldly sound.

Peruvian Roots
Peruvian Roots is a dance group formed by proud and passionate Peruvians. Through their dances they want to show an insight of Peru in Canada.

Todd Torresan
Todd originates from Oneida Nation of the Thames Standing Stone Turtle Clan. Haudenosaunee. He is founder of Talking Circle Group and will be opening the festival.

Ventanas
Ventanas is a six-piece Toronto-based world music ensemble fronted by powerhouse vocalist and dancer Tamar Ilana and featuring the city’s finest world musicians. Drawing inspiration from such legendary artists as the Silk Road Ensemble, Paco de Lucía, and Yasmin Levy, they reimagine Mediterranean melodies and flamenco grooves, and mix contemporary interpretations of ancient ballads with original compositions.
