Huron County, Ontario –Huron County Children’s Services is encouraging individuals to explore a rewarding career in early childhood education through a new Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) recruitment campaign, funded by the Ministry of Education’s Early Childhood Educator Promotional Fund.
As work to expand access to licensed child care continues, the need for qualified early childhood educators is growing. In Huron County, RECEs play a vital role in supporting local families, strengthening communities, and helping children build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
The County of Huron’s recruitment campaign features a dedicated webpage that highlights pathways to becoming an RECE, information about education and training opportunities, and the stories of local early childhood educators who are making an impact in Huron County every day.
“Early childhood educators are essential to the well-being of children, families, and communities,” said Barbara Hall, Director of Social and Property Services. “Whether you are currently working in child care, considering a career change, returning to the workforce, or graduating from high school, becoming an RECE is an opportunity to build a rewarding career while making a meaningful difference close to home.”
By supporting local recruitment, Huron County aims to strengthen the early years workforce and help ensure families continue to have access to quality child care programs throughout the region. The campaign also celebrates the dedicated educators who support children and families and contribute to the vitality of Huron County communities.
Huron County Children’s Services extends its gratitude to the educators, child care professionals, organizations, and community partners who continue to support local children and families and make Huron County a great place to live, work, and grow.
