Prequalification submissions are requested from General Contractors indicating their interest in bidding and qualifications
for executing masonry restoration at Huron Historic Gaol located in Goderich, Ontario.

Description of Project:
Masonry restoration including, repointing stone and crack repairs.

General Contractor Prequalification Submission Requirements:

  • Submit a completed CCDC11 Contractor’s Qualification Statement. Provide phone numbers and email addresses
    for references. CCDC11 forms can be obtained from local construction associations. References must indicate that
    the Contractor is well established, with a minimum of 10 years of continuous operation, and include work performed
    similar to this project; similar work is defined as stone repointing, and crack restoration using helical ties, and work
    completed in active museums or similar public buildings.
  • Submit a letter from Contractor’s Bonding Company declaring Contractor can provide 50% Performance Bond and
    50% L&M Payment Bond.
  • Submit letter from Contractor’s Insurance Company verifying Commercial General Liability Limits of not less than
    $10.0M per occurrence.
  • Submit C.V. of the Site Supervisor to be assigned to this project.

E-mailed submissions must be received at the Architect’s office on July 2, 2026 by 2:00:00 PM. Faxed submissions will
not be accepted. Submissions that do not contain the specifics above will not be accepted.

The Owner reserves the right to contact references other than those listed in CCDC11. Based on the response from
references, each application will be ranked in order to determine the final recommendation to the Owner. The Owner’s
decision will be final. The Owner will release the names of those selected to bid this project in alphabetical order and will be
permitted to substitute other applications as may be required to have a full list of bidders.

General Contractors will be evaluated by references provided in their submission.

This prequalification process does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Owner to enter into a Contract with any
proponents, or that the project will proceed.
