Local Business Leader Panel Discussion and Networking Event to be Held June 8, in Blyth

Huron County, Ontario – On Thursday, June 8, local entrepreneurs and supporters are invited to join local business leaders for the “Trailblazing Huron County: Leadership Panel Discussion” event from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cowbell Brewing Co. in Blyth. The event will be followed by an opportunity to network with other business leaders and entrepreneurs in attendance.

“Huron County has such an incredible entrepreneurial culture,” said Vicki Lass, Director of Economic Development. “This event is a great way to celebrate our local business leaders and provide an opportunity for our local entrepreneurs to network and learn from each other.”

Panelists will share their insights and expertise on how to grow a successful business across a variety of sectors. Attendees will gain new perspectives on issues that every business leader or entrepreneur faces – decision-making, team building, and more.

Leadership panel discussion participants will include:

Nadine VandenHeuvel of Fit Body Boot Camp (Goderich and Kincardine)

Nadine is a wife, mother to two beautiful children, speaker, author, seven-figure business owner, certified personal trainer for over 15 years, and entrepreneur for over 12 years. She’s trained thousands of people and mentored 50+ trainers and other fitness business owners throughout her years of owning her two fitness facilities.

Teresa Van Raay of Van Raay Farms Ltd. (Dashwood)

Teresa and her husband Martin have been farming for 40 years in Dashwood. In addition to producing high quality, great-tasting pork, Teresa and Martin also grow corn, wheat, soybeans, and garlic. They distribute a small percentage of their pork products direct to consumers through The Whole Pig company and package their locally grown garlic for grocery stores.

Ellen Humphrey-Allen of Humphrey-Allen CPA (Goderich)

Ellen is a financial growth strategist who helps entrepreneurs navigate business with both ease and excellence. With over 25 years of experience, Ellen is an incredible resource offering business strategy, online programs and accounting services.

Kendra Jewitt of Blooms N’ Rooms (Seaforth)

Kendra was born, raised, and stayed in Seaforth. She purchased her flower business in March 2005 and has grown the business while raising three children. Kendra is very active in her local community, volunteering with several organizations.

This event is hosted by the Huron Business Centre within Huron County Economic Development department. The Huron Business Centre provides low-cost business support services including coaching, training and networking opportunities to support any stage of business. Our mission is to help you accomplish yours.

Tickets for this event are $25.00 and must be purchased by Monday, May 29, 2023. Appetizers will be included, and a cash bar will be available.
