Celebrate Oktoberfest on Ontario’s West Coast

Huron County, Ontario – Huron County residents are invited to raise a stein and dive into Huron County’s ultimate Oktoberfest experience October 6 to 8!  All weekend long, events will be held throughout Huron County that celebrate the rich heritage of brewing, wine, cider making and harvest.  Participants will discover a world of flavors as they visit local breweries, wineries and cideries each offering a unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and innovation.  Participants will also enjoy indulging in delicious local food offerings and live entertainment at each stop along the way.

“Oktoberfest in Huron County promises not only exceptional entertainment, food and beverages but also an unforgettable adventure that combines culture, community, and local food and drink into an experience like no other,” said Huron County Warden Glen McNeil.

Oktoberfest weekend highlights include:

R’Oktoberfest at River Road Brewing & Hops | Friday October 6

Canadian Rock and Reggae band IllScarlett performs joined by special guest Choclair.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Concert starts at 7:00 p.m.

This is an all-ages event.

Brewery and Wine Tour Passport | Saturday, October 7

12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Tour Passport includes:

  • Hop-on/Hop-off shuttles to 12 Huron County wineries and breweries.
  • Community pick-up, drop-off locations located in Bayfield, Clinton, and Goderich.
  • Four drink vouchers redeemable at any location for 10 oz. beer or cider or 3 oz. of wine.
  • Four food vouchers redeemable at any of the 12 locations for a tasty local food sample.
  • All 12 participating locations will feature live music throughout the day.

This is an Age of Majority event.  Passport Holders must be 19 years of age or older.

Passports are $45.00, available through Eventbrite.ca or in-person at Square Brew, River Road Brewing & Hops, Bayfield Brewing Company, and East Street Cider.

Peter Pan by DuffleBag Theatre | Saturday, October 7

Children’s theatre performances of Peter Pan by DuffleBag Theatre. Children’s entertainer, Cousin Molly, will present an interactive sing-a-long sing and tell farm stories following each performance of Peter Pan.

10:00 a.m. at the outdoor performance stage in Courthouse Square Park in Goderich

1:00 p.m. at the Huron County Library, Seaforth branch

Performances are 50 minutes and are FREE.

Harvest Brunch at Dark Horse Estate Winery | Sunday, October 8

Along with a delicious Brunch featuring locally sourced ingredients the event features wagon rides, goats in the vineyard and live music by Stelle & Carter.

Tickets are $35.00 for Adults and $20 for Children 10 & Under, available through darkhorseestatewinery.com.
