Online Registration – Temporary Library Card

Do you need access to our online resources but you don’t have a library card? Go no further!

You can sign up here for a temporary library card number in order to have access to the majority of our online resources.

This library card number will be valid for 28 days after which it is recommended that you visit the library branch closest to you and sign up for a physical library card for your library membership.

This library card number will give you access to the majority of our online resources, excluding Hoopla Digital and Kanopy. **Access to Hoopla Digital and Kanopy has been given to temporary library card holders during the COVID-19 closure**

Library card numbers are 1 card number per person.

To access our online collections, hover over the Online Collections tab in the header above and click the category you wish to explore, or click here.

NOTE: if the branch is not open due to the closure because of COVID-19 when your temporary library card number expires, and you are using the cloudLibrary app, please try to access the app. If you experience any issues (being told there is something wrong with your library card, for example) please register for a new library card number and email: librarynews@huroncounty.ca.

Be sure to include the following information: Old temporary library card number, and the new temporary library card number. Please wait to use the new temporary library card number until you get a response indicating the database has been updated with this information. Thank you.

If you experience any issues with the temporary library card number form, or have any questions, please email: librarynews@huroncounty.ca.
