Provides on-line access to the authorized electronic versions of the Index to the 1871 Census Returns of Ontario, the 1901 Census of Canada, and the Canadian Expeditionary Force of World War I Database, an index to those military personnel files held by the National Archives.

Resources for Genealogists (National Archives United States)

This site describes available Archive Collections, services, workshops and courses. Provides on-line access to microfilm catalogues related to subjects such as census records, plus immigrant and passenger arrivals.

The National Archives of Ireland

Provides information on the holdings of the National Archives of Ireland, including on-line articles and pointers to other places containing related material. Special features include a searchable listing of the Archives of the Ordnance Survey of Ireland containing an index of parish names, plus on-line access to the Transportation Records of convicts sent from Ireland to Australia between 1788 and 1868.

Online resource containing over 38,300 listings of cemeteries in the United States, over 2,100 cemeteries in Canada and over 490 cemeteries in Australia.

Cemetery Records Online

Provides a searchable database of more than 3 million burial records and tombstone inscriptions for close to 7,000 cemeteries worldwide. While most of the records appear to be from the United States, you can browse listings, broken down by country, state and county or use this search engine.

Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid

This searchable database contains the surnames, cemetery name and locations of over 2 million interments from approximately 2000 distinct cemeteries, cairns, memorials and cenotaphs throughout Ontario. Links to other Canadian Genealogical sites including the British Columbia Cemetery Finding Aid are included.

One of the richest online resources for genealogy studies, this collection of more than 282,000 links is organized and cross-referenced in over 180 categories.

Family Search Internet Genealogy Service

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' (aka Mormon or LDS) genealogical site has a search engine that looks through records of over 957 million names in its Ancestral File, International Genealogical Index (Britain, North America & Finland), and Family History Library Catalogue. The available SourceGuide leads to all the information you will ever need to conduct genealogical searches. The 1881 Canadian Census can be searched online from this source.

GENUKI: The UK and Ireland Genealogical Information Service

This "virtual reference library" of genealogical related information relevant to England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man includes instructions for researching UK and Irish genealogy from abroad. The world genealogy section also contains a vast number of pointers to information about genealogy, listings of newsgroups and bulletin boards, plus other genealogical services available globally.

Our Roots: Canada's Local Histories Online

This website provides access to local histories of Canadian communities from coast-to-coast. Histories are presented in English and/or French. Huron County histories include Exeter, the Townships of Stephen, Stanley, Usborne, and McKillop, and a church history from Seaforth.
