The Community Access Program (CAP) is a key part of the Government of Canada’s Connecting Canadians initiative, administered by Industry Canada, to make Canada the most connected nation in the world.

Free public access computers are available at all 12 branches of The Huron County Library, in partnership with the Huron Community Access Program. Training sessions are frequently offered at each library CAP site and self-guided tutorials are available.

The goals of the Huron Community Access are to:

  • Provide residents of Huron County with free public access to the Internet and the skills they need to use it;
  • Stimulate development of new electronic learning tools and services;
  • Promote public awareness of the benefits and opportunities of using online information and communications technologies;
  • Support online delivery of government programs and services;
  • Sustain an Internet presence for Huron CAP services and online training modules.
