Notice of Pesticide Use

Huron County and the Municipalities of Huron East and South Huron intend to control noxious weeds along the County and Municipal rural roadsides under their respective jurisdiction:

The Following County Road Sides From County Road 25 to the North, and from County Road 4 East

• Blyth Road (Co.Rd.25) from Blyth to Perth Road 174, London Road (Co.Rd.4) from Blyth to Gilmour Line, Newry Road (Co.Rd.16), Amberley Road, (Co.Rd.86) from Co.Rd. 4 to Perth Road 172, Brussels Line (Co Rd.12) from Walton to Belmore, McNaught Line, Ethel Line and, Molesworth Line (Co.Rd.19), Perth Rd.178 (Co.Rd.34), Fordwich Line (Co.Rd.30), Harriston Road (Co.Rd.87), Gorrie Line and McIntosh Line (Co.Rd.28), Belmore Line (Co.Rd.12), Howick-Turnberry Rd. (Co.Rd.7).

Anyone not wishing to have the roadside adjacent to their property treated for noxious weeds should contact Jim Middegaal at the Wroxeter Patrol Yard 519-335-3531. 

 All Municipality of Huron East Rural Road Sides

 Anyone not wishing to have the roadside adjacent to their property treated for noxious weeds should contact Barry Mills at the Municipality of Huron East 519-527-0160. 

All Municipality Municipality of  South Huron Rural Road Sides

 Anyone not wishing to have the roadside adjacent to their property treated for noxious weeds should contact Jason Parr at the Municipality of South Huron 519-235-0310. 

 Note:  It is the responsibility of the property owner requesting no spray to contact the County of Huron each calendar year prior to the application of weed spray.  Property owners requesting no spray will be responsible for all noxious weeds on the road allowance adjacent to their property.

The County of Huron and Municipalities of South Huron and Huron East intend to use the herbicide Truvist Herbicide, which contains the active ingredients, Chlorsulfuron and Aminocyclopyrachlor. PCP Registration Number 30920 in combination with Hasten NT Spray Adjuvant, which contains active ingredients Methyl and ethyl oleate (esterified vegetable oil). PCP Registration Number 28277 under the Pest Control Products Act.
