NOTICE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF HURON’S INTENTION TO PASS A BY-LAW TO

PERMANENTLY CLOSE AND SELL PART OF THE UNTRAVELLED ROAD ALLOWANCE

The Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron intends to pass a By-law that permanently closes a highway at the Session of Council on June 6, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Court House Council Chambers, Goderich.

The subject properties are:

  • PART 1 of the Original Road Allowance of County Road 86 North West of the intersection of County Road 4 located in North Huron, County of Huron, as illustrated on Deposited Reference Plan 22R-6651

The Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron intends to declare the subject property SURPLUS at the June 6, 2018 Council Session.  The County of Huron intends to sell an unused portion of the road allowance to the adjacent landowner.  The proposed transaction will have no effect on the operation of the County Road.

According to the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25 Section 34(1) a municipality shall give public notice of its intention to pass the By-law to permanently close a highway.
