Notice: Intention to Pass By-law, 204-03-05

NOTICE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF HURON’S INTENTION TO PASS A BY-LAW TO PERMANENTLY CLOSE AND SELL PART OF THE UNTRAVELLED ROAD ALLOWANCE

The Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron intends to pass a By-law that permanently closes a highway at their Fourth Session of Council on March 5, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Court House Council Chambers, Goderich.

The subject properties are:

  • Part 1 and Part 2 which are Part of the Original Road Allowance Between the Eastern and Western Divisions of Colborne Township; the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, County of Huron, As illustrated on Deposited Reference Plan 22R-6096.

The Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron declared the subject properties SURPLUS at their February Fifth Council Session. The County of Huron intends to sell an unused portion of the road allowance to the adjacent land owners. The proposed transaction will have no effect on the operation of the County Road.

According to the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25 Section 34(1) a municipality shall give public notice of its intention to pass the By-law to permanently close a highway.
