March Break Activities at the Huron County Museum

February 28, 2014

Huron County, ON – Staying in Huron County for March Break and not sure how to fill your days? Make the Huron County Museum part of your staycation plans.

It’s “You Asked For It” Week! Children, families and visitors have been asking for these topics so with the help of education kits on loan from the Royal Ontario Museum we are excited to be presenting a few of your requests.

These bonus visitor activities take place on Friday, March 7, Tuesday, March 11 & Thursday, March 13. All family activities are included with regular admission.

10:30 AM – Animal Junction – Explore the mammals of Ontario & the Huron County Museum!

1:00 PM – Dinosaurs & Fossils – Turn the clock back and explore the life of the dinosaurs!

3:00 PM – Outer Space – Is the next great astronaut from Huron County? Is it you?

For children ages 5 to 10 these topics are being presented in more detail with our children’s day camp programmes during the rest of March Break. See our website for more details, dates and times.

Finally, finish off your March Break with the Huron County Museum’s March Break Finale. Join us on Saturday, March 15 from 1 pm to 4:30 pm with admission by donation. March Break may almost be over but there is still time to get the family together, invite your friends and head over to the Huron County Museum for an afternoon of investigation, learning and fun.

The Huron County Museum will be open during March Break Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 10 am to 4:30 pm, Thursday 10 am to 8 pm, and Saturday 1 pm to 4:30 pm. The Museum will be closed Sunday & Monday.
