INTENTION TO PASS BY-LAW

NOTICE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION
OF THE COUNTY OF HURON’S
INTENTION TO PASS THE FOLLOWING BY-LAWS

on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.:

1. TO PERMANENTLY CLOSE AND SELL PART OF THE UNTRAVELLED ROAD

  1. The Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron intends to pass a By-law that permanently closes a highway at their Sixth Session of Council on May 10, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Court House Council Chambers, Goderich.

The subject property is:

  • PART 2 which is Part of the Original Road Allowance between Lots 10 and 11 concession 4 of Stephen Township; the Municipality of South Huron, County of Huron, as illustrated on Deposited Reference Plan 22R-6517.

The Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron declared the subject property SURPLUS at their July 6, 2016 Council Session.  The County of Huron intends to sell an unused portion of the road allowance to the adjacent land owner.  The proposed transaction will have no effect on the operation of the County Road.

According to the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25 Section 34(1) a municipality shall give public notice of its intention to pass the By-law to permanently close a highway.

  1. Furthermore, The Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron intends to pass a By-law to purchase property for the purpose of road widening at their Sixth Session of Council on May 10, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Court House Council Chambers, Goderich.

The subject property is:

  • PART 1 of Lot 10 Concession 4 of Stephen Township; the Municipality of South Huron, County of Huron, as illustrated on Deposited Reference Plan 22R-6517.
