Huron Employers to Learn about Workplace Wellness

April 7, 2015

Huron County, ON –The Huron County Health Unit is inviting workplaces across the county to learn more about workplace wellness.

“Employers need to know that the wellbeing of employees gives organizations a strategic advantage,” says Annie Lukacsovics, Public Health Promoter at the Huron County Health Unit. The Health Unit, along with partners in southwestern Ontario, is hosting a workshop for workplaces to learn more. Workplace Wellness: Moving Forward! will be held at the Stratford Rotary Complex on May 27.

“An organization’s performance is linked with the wellbeing of its employees,” says Lukacsovics. “You can create a healthy, successful organization when you connect health, safety and wellness initiatives to your human resource goals.”

The workshop will teach participants to identify the steps needed to build healthier organizations.

Lukacsovics says the event is a great opportunity for employers, business owners, managers, human resource personnel, and health, safety and wellness representatives. The all-day event will feature guest speaker Graham Lowe, PhD, author of Creating Healthy Organizations. Interested participants can register at www.swworkplacewellness.eventbrite.ca. Early bird registration ends April 17.
