Huron County paramedics organize ‘First Aid for the Hungry’ campaign

Huron County Ambulance stands ready to respondHuron County paramedics are once again rolling into action this November to collect non-perishable food items to support local food banks. The First Aid for the Hungry campaign runs throughout the month of November. Events are scheduled at a different location each week according to the following schedule:

November 5, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Dean’s Valumart, Wingham

November 12, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Hansen’s Independent, Exeter  

November 19, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Foodland, Clinton

November 26, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Zehrs & Walmart, Goderich   

During each event, paramedics will be on hand to give tours of an ambulance and answer questions about their job. This year’s aim is to beat last year’s total of 4635 lbs of food collected.
