Huron County Museum helps local IODE chapter commemorate special anniversary with installation of poppies this Remembrance Day

The Huron County Museum is pleased to partner with the IODE Maple Leaf Chapter in Goderich to commemorate the IODE’s 120th anniversary by draping poppies over the Museum’s Sherman Tank this Remembrance Day. The installation of the poppies will take place at the Museum on Oct. 28 and the media is invited to visit the site at 11:30 a.m. to take photos.

Honouring Treaties Recognition Week with the Huron County Museum and Randall Kahgee

In honour of Treaties Recognition Week, guest speaker Randall Kahgee will share an overview of Treaties, including their historical and contemporary context, and how they govern the relationship between Indigenous people and the Federal and Provincial Governments, in a virtual event hosted by the Huron County Museum. The Huron County Museum’s latest book unlocks secret stories from the Huron Historic Gaol

The Huron County Museum & Historic Gaol is pleased to announce the publication of its newest book, Prisoner Profiles: Unlocking the Secret Stories from the Huron Historic Gaol. Books are now available for purchase through the Museum Gift Shop for curbside pickup while the Museum and Historic Gaol remain closed to the public.
