The Corporation of the County of Huron’s Business Technology Solutions is seeking IT Infrastructure and Operations Student!
Position Summary
Reporting to the IT Manager of Infrastructure and Operations, the IT Infrastructure and Operations Student is responsible for assisting with infrastructure and operations services in delivering desktop and network support to meet information technology (IT) needs and shall work on some or all the following activities.

Role and Responsibilities
- Participate in IT incident resolution including prioritization and escalation.
- Provide prompt, effective day-to-day support, accurately identify and resolve issues, perform controlled and timely incident resolution.
- Compile and enter data into IT systems and databases.
- Follow established processes/standards; plan, monitor and escalate issues as required.
- IT asset tracking, inventory, e-waste of PC hardware and peripheral equipment.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage daily assigned work.
- Seek regular guidance from the supervisor and report progress on set intervals.
Qualifications and Education
- Be enrolled in a university degree or college program in computer science or related discipline.
Additional Notes
- Access to reliable transportation, willingness, and ability to travel to various County of Huron locations as required
Competitive Compensation
- College/University level – $17.72/per hour as per 2024 Non-Union Student Wage Grid
- Masters level – $21.92/per hour as per 2024 Non-Union Student Wage Grid
