The Bee-all, End-all of Everything you Wanted to Know with Master Beekeeper Andrew Scott!
Join Andrew Scott for an exploration of bees including biology, history and their future as pivotal players in human agriculture. This engaging presentation in the museum theatre will include the chance to see real beekeeping equipment from different eras, and is aimed at all ages: families and adults.
Curious about the life of bees, honey production, the basics of backyard beekeeping, bees’ role in the ecosystem, bee safety or the current health of bee colonies? The presentation will end with a Q&A so you can ask your buzzworthy questions of a bee expert! The presentation is included with regular museum admission on Saturday, May 6 (free for museum members or Huron County Library card holders). Donations welcome. Pre-registration is not required, and seating will be on a first-come basis. Please note that seating in the theatre is limited.
Andrew Scott is a master beekeeper, bugmaker and nature interpreter and has spent the last 10 years keeping bees in British Columbia.
