For participating childcare centres, the Ontario Better Deal promises to reduce child care fees through four steps of reduction over several years for an average of $10 a day per child by September 2025. The County of Huron Children’s Services Team is working with local childcare providers who wish to participate in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care Plan.
The County of Huron Children’s Services Division and partner agencies are providing free Emergency Licensed Child Care for school-aged children of health care and other eligible frontline workers starting January 10. Visit www.huroncounty.ca for more information.
To assist families accessing licensed childcare in Huron County, the County of Huron Children’s Services department is covering the childcare fees that families pay for the month of October, 2021. This support to families is being made available by utilizing funds received by The Ministry of Education from the Province of Ontario and the Government of Canada.
Starting June 1, 2021 the County of Huron will be hosting online information sessions for individuals interested in becoming approved home child care operators under the County’s Licensed Home Child Care program. To register, please visit https://home-child-care-general-info-session.eventbrite.ca/.
he County of Huron, Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) and London Bridge Child Care Services are pleased to announce the opening of a Preschool Child Care program at Bluewater Coast Elementary School. The program opened at the beginning of October.
