Show Your Drive and Win a Car!
The Driven to Quit Challenge"Huron County – Smokers in Huron County are being encouraged to show their drive to quit smoking by entering this year’s Driven to Quit Challenge. About 20 per cent of Huron County adults are smokers.

People who quit smoking for the month of March will not only be healthier, but will be entered to win grand prizes, including a new Ford Escape hybrid. Other prizes include two $5,000 vacation getaways and seven $2,000 MasterCard gift cards. Huron County residents who register for the challenge are eligible to win a local prize valued at $350.

To enter you must be 19 or older and use tobacco at least once a week for the past year. That includes smoking cigarettes, cigars or pipes, or using chew tobacco. Participants must also find a buddy who will support them in their quit attempt.

Deadline for registration is February 28th. If you register by January 31st, you will qualify for the early bird prize of a $1,000 MasterCard gift card.

There are three ways to enter:
• Online at www.DrivenToQuit.ca
• By faxing/mailing a registration form (available from Smokers’ Helpline, Canadian Cancer Society unit offices and Huron County Health Unit)
• By calling Smokers’ Helpline at 1-877-513-5333
The Driven to Quit Challenge is hosted by the Canadian Cancer Society and all prizes are donated by McNeil Consumer Healthcare. The Huron County Health Unit is a partner in the Driven to Quit Challenge.

Since launching the contest in 2006, The Challenge has been successful in motivating more than 101,000 entrants to get on the road to better health.
