Important Notice: All County of Huron services reliant on Canada Post return to normal operation

September 2, 2016

Canada Post advises that their labour dispute with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has been tentatively resolved and that mail service will continue without interruption. Effective Friday, September 2nd, all County of Huron services reliant on Canada Post have returned to normal operation.

Ontario Works

All postal items, including month-end cheques, will continue to be mailed to clients and vendors as per our standard practice.

It is recommended that individuals who receive their Ontario Works assistance by cheque consider enrolling in direct bank deposit. Direct Bank Deposit Forms are available on our website and through your case manager. Completed forms can be returned in person, by fax (519-482-1632) or by mail to 77722D London Road, RR 5, Clinton, ON, N0M 1L0. The Ontario Works Office can be reached by calling 519-482-8505 or 1-888-371-5178.

Treasury Department

Cheques to vendors will continue to be mailed on Fridays. The Treasury Department can be reached by calling 519-524-8394 ext 3221.

Provincial Offences Administration Office
