Double Ox Yoke

This style of double ox yoke was used extensively in eastern Canada to join together a pair of oxen while they worked on the farm. Black leather straps would have attached the yoke to the oxen.

This 1915 horse drawn grader, made by Dominion Road Machinery Co. Ltd., was used in Colborne Township to level land. It was refurbished and restored by the Champion Antique Grader Club.
Grain Grinder

This Fleury Rapid Easy Grain Grinder was used in the Sarnia area. It was built in 1899 by John Fleury and Son in Aurora Ontario.
Steam Threshing Engine

The earliest method to remove grain from the stalks and husks of crops was to beat the grain from the stalk with a stick. This twelve horsepower steam threshing engine, built in 1871 by Waterous Engine Company, Brantford Ontario, illustrates the many improvements made to the process. John Stevenson of Ashfield Township owned and operated this machine for almost 80 years.
Thresher and Separator

This threshing machine was manufactured in 1866 by the Sharman and Foster Manufacturing Company Ltd. in Stratford Ontario. A three horse treadmill was used to run this eight horsepower machine which was used for for the separation of grain from the stalks and husks of harvested crops.
