The Health Education Resource Catalogue lists FREE resources available from the Huron County Health Unit and Perth District Health Unit for promoting good health practices. Included are a wide range of teaching materials and kits that can be used by educators.
Resources are organized into 11 health topics including:
Under each topic is an ALPHABETICAL listing of available resources by title, complete with picture, resource type (i.e. game, DVD, etc.), grade level, date of production, load period and where the item is available.
Booking Procedures
Contact the Health Unit where the item is available.
Requests can be faxed, e-mailed, or phoned in. Please include your name, phone number, school and the proposed date you wish to use the resource. Book early to make sure that the requested resource is available on the date required.
If the resource(s) are not available for the requested date, an alternative date will be offered and a confirmation of your request will be returned to you. Please advise as soon as possible if alternative dates do not fit your teaching schedule.
Resources will be put aside for pick up at the Health Unit, or sent to you through the appropriate school board courier.
All items borrowed must be returned to the Health Unit by the due date, unless they have been identified as items to be kept by the class or teacher.
