- Information about child development & safety
- Parenting
- Prenatal information

Let's Grow Newsletter
0-5 Years
Let's Grow is a free newsletter about parenting information and services. You will receive 12 issues during the first five years of your child's life.
For more information and to receive the newsletters contact the health unit.
Post-Partum Phone Call
When you return home from the hospital, within 2 days will receive a call from a Public Health Nurse. This call helps to support the mother and baby when they first arrive home. At this time, many mothers have questions and concerns that can be discussed with the Public Health Nurse. During this phone call, our nurse will also offer a home visit to talk more about any concerns you might have.
Post-Partum Home Visit

This voluntary home visit is a wonderful opportunity for you to ask the nurse any questions you may have about baby's health, your own health, and things like nutrition and breastfeeding. The nurse can work with you to help access other important family health supports, connect with other community supports, and, if necessary, may provide a referral for our family visitor program.
Well-Baby Checkups
Your baby's visit to the physician at 18 months is an important chance for your family doctor to check the healthy development of your child. Be sure to ask your doctor about any concerns you might have about your child meeting his or her growth and developmental milestones!
