Early Years Centres
The Ontario Early Years Centre is a place where parents and caregivers of children (from birth to six years of age) can:
- Participate, with their children, in a range of programs and activities
- Discover answers to questions on your child's development
- Find information about programs and services that are available for young children
- Talk to Early Years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community
Early Years professionals offer a variety of free programs and services throughout Huron County. We provide early learning programs for children including songs, stories, games, crafts, plus opportunities for children to develop their social skills and Kindergarten readiness skills.
Our programs are fun for children and teach parents new activities to do with their children at home; parents and caregivers have opportunities to ask questions about their child's development. A resource library of books and videos on parenting skills, as well as children's books are available for loan.
The Main Centre for the County is located in the Jacob Memorial Building, 77722D London Road, Clinton, Ontario; satellite offices are located in Goderich and Wingham.
A variety of programs are offered at the Main Centre in Clinton every weekday morning from 10-11:30 AM. Three beautiful playrooms, including an infant/toddler room, are open for drop-in exploration weekdays from 1:30-3:30 PM.
There are 47 Ontario Early Years programs offered throughout Huron County. Call 519.482.8505 or 1.888.371.5718 for more information about our programs or to find out when they are being offered. Additional details as well as locations are listed in our monthly calendars found in Events section of this page.
