Caravan of Hope - $11 dollars in the 11th Hour

Mayors, agencies, businesses and local heroes like you, will be giving $11 dollars (or multiples of 11) in the 11th hour to help United Way of Perth-Huron fill the $70,000 gap. FREE Child Car Seat Clinic Find out if your child is buckled up properly! Parents and caregivers are reminded that child car seats are mandatory for anyone transporting children weighing up to 18 kg (40 lbs). Held at Central Huron Fire Department, 401 Beech St., Clinton. The clinics are held monthly from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Call Huron County Health Unit at 519.482.3416 OR 1.877.837.6143, Ext 2256 for an appointment. Remember to bring your car seat instructions and vehicle owner's manual to the FREE car seat safety check to find out if your child is properly buckled up.

Huron Good Food Box Payment Deadline Third Thursday of Each Month The Good Food Box provides Huron County residents with local vegetables and fruits monthly. It is a community-based project that relies on volunteers. Buying in large quantities from our local producers allows us to get better pricing. The result is that the consumer gets better value. On the first Friday of each month, orders are taken at neighbourhood host sites. All orders must be pre-paid in cash ($15) at the time they are placed. Contact the Huron County Health Unit at 519.482.3416 to find a host site near you.
