Is the Huron County Business Directory available for purchase in hard copy or electronic format?

Unfortunately it is not possible to purchase print copies of the Huron County Business Directory. This directory is only available for search and viewing purposes on the web. It is not intended for resale or commercial purposes; a full disclaimer is available on the site.

I have noticed that the information about my company is incorrect, how do I make the necessary changes?

Search for your company in the business directory, your results will appear in a search results page. If more than one company is listed, select your company from the listing of business names to see the detailed entry. Select the "Edit Business Information" link located in the footer of the entry and fill out only those fields where the information needs to be changed. Your information will be posted after it has been reviewed by the Administrators and you have been contacted by phone to verify the changes. Businesses which have closed may be reported in the same way by selecting the "Defunct Business" link; the Administrators verify this information prior to deleting a business listing.

How can I get my business included in the Huron County Business Directory?

To be included in this Business Directory, your business must be located within the County of Huron. If you meet this criterion and would like to add your business to the directory, please complete the form found under Add a Business. You will be contacted by phone to verify your information.

How do you determine business types?

All businesses are coded according to the official North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) in order to compare business activity with other geographical areas, and to be able to view and compare the changes to industry within our community. This system is necessary for compiling statistics about Huron County but does not make searching by business type easy. Instead we have provided you with a drop-down list of business types that combines NAICS codes with more commonly recognized categories. Selecting any one of these categories will limit your search results to just that type of business.
