In addition to our permanent exhibitions and artifact displays, the Huron County Museum maintains an active exhibition program throughout the year. Exhibitions are often drawn from our extensive collections. We also host travelling exhibitions from museums throughout the province.
No. 31 Air Navigation School, Port Albert
Ongoing
During the Second World War, Canada became one of the primary air training centres for the Allied Cause. This exhibit is based on the collection of Eugene McGee, who grew up on a farm next to one of these training sites - the No. 31 Air Navigation School in Port Albert. Over several decades, McGee amassed a vast number of clippings, photos, memorabilia and artefacts related to the air base which are now on view in the upper lobby of the Museum and in the Military Gallery.
