Food Advisory Councils are active at each long term care home and promote residential rights, autonomy and decision making. The meetings are monthly. It provides residents with the opportunity to suggest menu items, comment on current menus and approve an upcoming menu cycle and to discuss changes and concerns affecting the residents' quality of life.

Each long term care home provides residents three healthy, delicious and enjoyable meals daily. All meals offer choice, with lunch and supper consisting of two entrees, two vegetables and two desserts.

Snacks and beverages are served three times a day, between meals and in the evening.

The dining rooms offer a home-like setting, in each wing of both Huronview and Huronlea. Residents are served restaurant style and assistance is available where necessary.

Menus reflect resident choices and are adapted for all holidays and special occasions. For instance, there are barbecues held in the summer and a fall family dinner.
